Hi Jackie

Thankfully you are now home and can get on with recovery.

The physio IS torture, but you'll do it! Just grit your teeth and think of England!! I promise you'll be OK. I had been in a wheelchair for almost 6 years before I had my first replacement and was ginormous! It felt very strange at first to be upright and as for the knee/leg exercises - well, I can now walk (albeit for short distances) without even using sticks so it is definitely worth the hassle.

Take care and keep letting us know how you are.

Lots of love

Hi Jackie

Just caught up on this post. Glad the op went well and that you're getting on okay.

I had my new knee about 18 month ago and was stressed because I didn't think I was recovering quickly enough. Luckily people on this forum were very supportive and I realised I was on course. Those leg pullers are brilliant, aren't they? I suddenly found on day that although I was using it I wasn't actually using it, if you know what I mean. I'm sure the same thing will happen to you.
